This Psalms is talking about our Lord and Savior Jesus. How awesome it is to know that David communed with the Lord and the way he communed with Jesus, his Lord too. He clearly points out that "The Lord says unto my Lord" He is talking about GOD saying to Jesus "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” He describes the promises that GOD gave His Son, Jesus and HE fulfilled all of them. And so it is with us we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ and every promise in GOD is Yes in Christ and Amen. I love Jesus and so did David.
The Lord will extend you and you will rule in the midst of your enemies. Psalms 110:2 Oh how I love Jesus!!!
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT
The LORD says to my lord:“Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” 2 The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!” 3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb. 4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” 5 The Lord is at your right hand ; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. 7 He will drink from a brook along the way,and so he will lift his head high.
