Psalms 35 - No Greater Love

Love thy enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you. David is having trouble with his enemies and he finds it hard not to wish bad things on them. Jesus tells us to love our enemies, pray for those who despitefully use us. Matthew 5:43-47 David was saying to GOD They are messing with me without a cause. I have done nothing wrong. He was pleading with the Lord to let destruction come upon them suddenly. He says let the net that they had set for me let the net catch them. Do you know someone that rewarded evil for good so much so that the person that they did this too was discourage and disheartened. Jesus wants us to pray for that person and watch GOD work. Ask GOD to give you genuine love. He will do it. You may say well GOD that is not fair, they did me wrong. We have to look at it through the eyes of the Lord. One, He did not know sin and He took our sins and bore them and nailed them to the cross all for us. He healed people, He delivered people but still they said crucify, crucify. Jesus did not say a mumbling word but when it was time to speak on our behalf He did, He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. No Greater Love than this. Jesus loves us!!! Take GOD at His Word even when it hurts and He will richly bless you.

Se'lah Moment

Here in this Psalm David is going through and finally Christ was manifested, He said" I behave myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily as one that mourns for his mother.

That is truly powerful, can you do it? Can you do good to someone to the point when they are sick that you care for them so as you would for your mother.

No Greater Love than a man lay down His life for a friend.

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. 28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long. Psalms 35: 27-28 KJV
