This Psalm starts with David praying about his enemies and the constant battle between them. David was being pursued by Saul. He needed food, and a weapon for his journey. Doeg the Edomite heard David talking to Ahimalek the Priest and Doeg went and told Saul where David was.
We all know the hide and seek game, and if you know anything about hide and seek. You hide and someone tries to find you. And if someone told where you were hiding, you became angry. So it was the same with David and Doeg except it wasn't a game.
One thing that I have learned about David is that he takes everything to GOD in prayer, his highs, his lows, his shortcomings, what is bothering him, what gives him joy, his praises to GOD. Jesus wants us to do exactly that. Take everything to Him in prayer. Do not think for a moment that GOD doesn't want us to be transparent, because He already knows. He wants us to be persistent in prayer.
Do you know someone like Doeg? David says why do you boast about evil, you practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction, you love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. You do all that and my GOD still has my back.
Don't worry, continue on and know that GODs got you covered. Sometimes it is just apart of our process that we go through things and when we endure hard times as a good soldier, we will begin to mature in GOD and then our GOD will take us to the next level. GOD will make provisions for you, provide a way of escape and ultimately bring you into your destiny.
David began to encourage himself in the Lord. Know who you are and Whose you are. David said But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of GOD. I trust in the mercy of GOD forever and ever. GOD, for what You have done I will praise You in the presence of Your faithful people and I will hope in Your name, for Your name is good.
Make GOD your stronghold.
I trust in the mercy of GOD forever and ever. Psalms 52:8 NIV

1Samuel 21and 22
For the director of music. A maskil of David. When Doeg the Edomite had gone to Saul and told him: “David has gone to the house of Ahimelek.” 1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God? 2 You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor. 3 You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. 4 You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue! 5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. 6 The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at you, saying, 7 “Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!” 8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. 9 For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good. Psalms 52 NIV
