Psalms 57 - Destroy Not!!!

This Psalm is titled Al-taschith which means 'Destroy Not'. Again, David is being pursued by Saul. In the midst of his trouble, David cries out 'Lord have mercy upon me'.

This Psalm reminds me Who is in my corner and that I am in a win-win situation. David is confident that He is coming out of this trial. He said, I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. 1. He was confident that the Lord heard his prayer 2. He was confident that the Lord will answer 3. He was confident that the Lord will see him through

Lord, I take refuge in You and Your wings cover me until the disaster passes. And when it does pass,You have already worked it out. You give orders to the morning to rescue me and save me. Thank You for Your new mercies every morning.

No matter how hard they try to destroy me You will not allow it and I come out on top every time. Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Thank You Jesus.

Your Love is great that it reaches the heavens and Your faithfulness reaches the skies. How awesome You are!!!! Let Your glory be over all the earth.

I Love You Jesus.

Se'lah Moment

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21

Meditation

He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me—God sends forth his love and his faithfulness. Psalms 57:3

For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam. When he had fled from Saul into the cave. 1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. 2 I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. 3 He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me—God sends forth his love and his faithfulness. 4 I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. 6 They spread a net for my feet— I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path— but they have fallen into it themselves. 7 My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. 8 Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. 9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. 10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
