Psalms 58 - Sovereign GOD

David was still being pursued by King Saul. He questioned the motives of the government because he saw injustice. Much like today, we see corruption in our government although we are a sovereign country we still have to answer to GOD. He is the Sovereign One. Isn't it good to be able to cry out to the Lord about our country's injustice. And know that GOD will answer because He loves righteousness. See we can take everything to GOD in prayer. He is Just and nothing gets by Him. One thing that I like about David, he always behaved himself wisely. Although his enemies did and said things about him He was wise on how he handled them. Another thing that I admired about David is that he took everything to GOD in prayer. When you acknowledge GOD in all your ways He will direct your path.

Let me tell you a few things on how Sovereign our GOD is: Everything is made for Him and by Him. He tells the clouds to go here and no farther. He is Amazing. He is the One that Healeth thee. He is lover of my soul. He knows the path of the lightening bolt and it reports to Him "here am I". I can go on and on If you want to can add to this list, leave it in the comments. This is refreshing because my problem is now minute.

Se'lah Moment

Even when you know that people are out to get you. Behave yourself wisely and watch GOD work.

Meditation

Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” Psalms 58:11

For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam. 1 Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity? 2 No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. 3 Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies. 4 Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, 5 that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be. 6 Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; LORD, tear out the fangs of those lions! 7 Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows fall short. 8 May they be like a slug that melts away as it moves along, like a stillborn child that never sees the sun. 9 Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns— whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away. 10 The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” Psalms 58 NIV
