In this Psalm David is crying out to the Lord. He feels like he is sinking and about to drown. Drowning in the issues of life, drowning in the day to day, drowning in the overload of bills, drowning of a slandering tongue, drowning in not knowing what to do because it feels like you are about to go under. Help Lord!!!! David said, "I am worn out from crying out, my throat is parched. My eyes fail looking for my GOD." Sometimes you do not have a cute, long worded prayer but it is a desperate cry of "Help", waving the white SOS flag. Have you been there not knowing what to do? You thought that you were doing things right and according to GODs way. Have you ever asked yourself "What do I do when I don't know what to do? What do I say when I don't know what to say? Where do I turn? What are the answers to those questions that seem to have no answers?" (Rev. Ernest Davis Jr.) And then you think on GODs goodness and recall to your mind that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will not let you falter so stand. I will stand still until Your Will is clear to me. Stand until GOD answers, He will provide and meet your need. Stand and fight. Do not quit or throw in the towel because it gets hard. GOD is making you. Stand.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of GOD, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness..." Ephesians 6:14
