This Psalm gives the history from Moses to David. The writer implores the readers to pass it on to the next generation. This Psalm is about the Israelite's journey to the promise land and through their journey how unbelief and ungratefulness seeped into the camp. GODs anger was kindled before them but as we know His anger lasts just for a moment and He restores our soul. He loves us just that much.
It is easy to give in to murmuring and complaining when things are not going right but learn from the Israelites, GOD wants us to trust and obey Him. GOD will show you that He is with you but you must not take it for granted and get comfortable. Learn of the Lord. Learn His ways so when things come, you will understand that your GOD is at work. You must take GOD at His Word and trust Him. He will never let you down. Sometimes you may not understand but know He will never leave you nor forsake you. It is in the trying times that our relationship with the Lord grows the greatest. Remember that GOD is our Rock and Redeemer!!
He split the rocks in the wilderness and gave them water as abundant as the seas; he brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers.
Pass Jesus On!!
Things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us.
We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders He has done.
He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Psalms 78:3-6
