Renew Your Mind 2021 - GOD Knows Your Name (Week 1)

When Daniel and his friends were exiled to Babylon, King Nebuchadnezzar chose them to serve before him. In preparing them to serve the chief of the eunuchs, Ashpenaz changed their original names that honored the GOD of Israel to honor the false gods of Babylon:

To Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar

Daniel (GOD Is My Judge) Belteshazzar (bel protect him)

To Hananiah he gave the name Shadrach

Hananiah (Yahweh has been gracious) became Shadrach (the command of akku)

To Mishael he gave the name Meshach

Mishael (Who Is What GOD Is) became Meshach (Who is what aku is)

To Azariah he gave the name Abednego

Azariah (Yahweh has helped) became Abednego (Servant of nebo)

Do you see how they tried to imitate the Most High GOD. But how many know that GOD knows your name. He told Moses in Exodus 33:17:

• And The Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken for thous hast found grace in My sight, and I know thee by name.

See people can call you by another name and call you out your name byt GOD know you by name. And that is all that matters. Period.
